Is Jadau and Kundan same?

Jadau and Kundan are often associated with traditional Indian jewellery, but they are not the same. Kundan refers to a technique where highly refined gold is used to set uncut stones and gems, creating intricate and regal designs. Jadau, on the other hand, is a jewellery-making process that incorporates Kundan work but also involves enameling and embedding stones into a base, typically during heating. Originating from Rajasthan and Gujarat, both styles are celebrated for their exquisite craftsmanship and are commonly used in bridal and heirloom jewellery. Together, they represent a harmonious blend of art and tradition.
